It’s going to be another night to remember as the stars return for The Third Thorner Stargaze on Saturday 5 December 2015!

The previous two events have attracted sell out crowds who gazed at distant galaxies, saw man-made satellites scuttling across heavens, handled real space rocks and looked down on the Mountains of the moon… This year a glittering array of speakers will shed light on the search for ET and provide tips on astrophotography and buying telescopes for Christmas. And we’ll tell you more about a wonder of nature – The Geminid meteor shower – before heading outside to spy these spectacular shooting stars burn up with the York Astronomical Society.

There will be lots of other astro-activities taking place for all the family, and the popular planetarium supplied by the University of York Astrocampus will be back!

Once again Havens Above Stargaze will be used to raise money for The Yorkshire Haven (Breast Cancer Support Charity) (Visit the Haven’s website). So far this event has contributed £3000 to its vital work.

Tickets are priced at £7 adults and £3 children, or  £18 family (2 adults & 2 children). Get your tickets HERE or email havensabove@gmail.com/call 07564146854
